Yesterday, Tesla trumpeted their achievement as building the car with the lowest probability of injury.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
As is their duty, the media ate it up. Endless headlines of “NHTSA On Tesla Model 3: Lowest Probability Of Injury Of Any Tested Vehicle” and so on.
The only problem is I can’t find the stats that Tesla used for this ANYWHERE. Only their little graphic from the press release. Anybody know where I can find NHTSA’s probability of injury statistics?

Probably based on results that are not yet part of any NHTSA report, which is only compiled every X months. Marketing loves to spin incomplete data.

With a half million reservations and under 100,000 cars actually having been built, I’d say it’s true- you can’t be injured by something you don’t have!

I don't think they have probability of injury statistics. They are likely just blowing the 5 star crash rating out of proportion.

They’ll need all that 5 star rating and more given how many idiots are going to crash these things due to their over-reliance on Autopilot

I’ve been waiting to use this. (NSFW warning)
